I find it interesting that we have many Christmas carols that say that angels sang the famous line in verse 14 but as I can see they didn't. Now, does that mean angels can't sing or don't sing, no. But contrary to popular belief, angels did not sing to the shepherds watching their flocks by night. Does it matter if they sang or it said it...no, but scripture points out they were praising God and SAYING...but I am okay with songs such as "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" (the words were actually changed by George Whitefield the original words written by John Wesley said "Hark how all the welkin rings..." oops, George messed up, oh well) and another of my favorites "Angels We Have Heard On High". Glory to God in the Highest!
