Total Set Up
The law stated that both parties; the man and woman caught in adultery would be taken before the people and if found guilty, both would be stoned. Where's the man? They are not interested in this law, they are focussed on accusing Jesus of some wrong doing. Jesus turns the tables by pointing out there sin, maybe even being specific about the sin, have you committed this sin, if you haven't then you can act?
