Shepherd Warrior
I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.
- YOU ARE CREATED TO BE LIKE JESUS, THE SHEPHERD.
- A shepherd leads courageously.
- A shepherd protects bravely.
- A shepherd loves sacrificially.
- YOU ARE CREATED TO BE LIKE JESUS, THE WARRIOR.
- A warrior is under authority.
- A warrior rejects passivity.
I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.
(The Shepherd) calls his own sheep by name and leads them out...his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
David said…”When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.”
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
I did not come to bring peace, but a sword...and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established…Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgm
I know...you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm…I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
