Finding differences in opinions is easy. Its easy to look at what someone is doing and think they should do it differently, I would say thats just Human nature. But thats not what God has called us to. God sees the heart and He knows the call that He has on someone's life, we don't. We see what we've been called to and our experiences and our understanding and judge others based on that. Hear we are told to relate to each other "with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love". So why is that so hard? Why is unity so difficult for us? God points out that there is one body, one spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father over all. We are all on the same team, we have all been given grace no one earned anything no one is better than the other we are all on a level playing field. You don't see many winning Football teams where the offense and the defense are trying to convince each other to play like themselves because they are specialize for their specific function. They are still one team with the same main goal but they have different functions on that team. We as Christians need to realize that we are on the same team and realize that we need to celebrate the common ground we have not magnify the differences of opinions. There are a few non-negotiables in Christianity and I'm not saying don't stand by them, but the "preferences" and the second tier differences shouldn't keep us from working together.
