Who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!
Who will eat bread in the kingdom of God?
In fact, who is qualified for the membership of the kingdim of God is taught by Jesus Christ.
This passage is the parable explained for the kingdom concept.
A man means God.
A great supper means the kingdom of God.
The invited many refers to people already related to with God.
For all is now ready means the kingdom fulfilled by Jesus.
The major premise is follows:
1. The kingdom of God is fulfilled by Jesus Christ, His cross, His death, and His resurrection.
2. Before Jesus, the people in the old testament age had experienced God's grace no fulfilled like as a shadow. We call that kind of grace "the type of Jesus".
- God has invited His guests to the greatest supper completed by Jesus. Unless the supper is perfectly ready, the owner of house doesn't invite people. The term guests(NIV version) means there are already some relationship between the host and guest. I think the guests are Jewish people who already experienced God's grace purposed for the fulfilled goal of Jesus Christ. Their relationship with God was carry out only by God not them. Right now God invites them the fulfilled supper over the unfulfilled grace they received. However, they denied because....
