What faith is
In prayer I asked God to show me what this scripture meant. I wanted an answer that was simple enough for me to understand it. Something that would go beyond religious talk and get to the meat of the meaning. This is what he said. "Faith is believing in something you can not see as if you had already seen it." He then gave an example. He said you can not go back in time and see Jesus beaten, then die on the cross and three days later be raised from the dead. Yet because of your faith you believe it as if you had been there! That is what Hebrews 11:1 is saying about faith.
