God's Election
I suggest you go to www.desiringgod.org and read John Piper's view of God's Divine Election to His Chosen and Called people. It's a humbling view to see a holy God even save any of us at all. I also recommend two books, by one R.C. Sproul called "Chosen by God" and another one by Sam Storms called "Chosen for Life".
