Anger
This passage reminds me how often I lose my temper, and sometimes lose control, over circumstances that could be spiritually caused. How many times do we fail to see things from a spiritual perspective. We are in a spiritual battle; while this passage shows us that sometimes the road blocks that can anger us so much can be God directing our path, other times (as Ephesians shows) the attack is of the enemy. I recently heard a pastor speak on spiritual warfare and reminded me to recognize the accusing voice of the enemy (as spoken of in Revelation when he is called the 'Accuser of the Brethren') and to stand firm against it. I am asking God daily for the ability to respond in gentleness; to slow down and listen; and to recognize what is happening around me spiritually.
