Shadow of death
pastor has been doing a series of Psalm 23. this week was on verse 4. "Even thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death..."

he shared a story about a young family with younger children. the mother passed away, and the father was trying to explain to them about death. not coming up with the right words as to why mommy died...he pulled up to a stop light (boys were in the back of car with him) as he stopped at the light, he pulled into the shadow of a big rig (18-wheeler) it was then that it HIT HIM!!! boys it is like this...would you rather get hit by the semi, or the shadow of the semi?
as non- christians, death is like getting hit by an 18-wheeler. as chrsitians...it's just the shadow.....WOW great illustration
