Psalm 40:2-3 ASV

I am not a good waiter. In our American society we have become expectant of everything happening in an instant. We don't have the time or the energy to wait. I am so bad that waiting irritates me. What I am learning and need to always continue to learn is that God's timing is not my timing. In God's eyes, our entire life is but a breath, a vapor that dissipates quickly. He sees the entire story of human existence when he looks at us. He knows where and how we fit into his eternal plans. So, we must wait on him. In his time, he will pull us out of the muck and mire. He will put a new song in our heart. If we will wait on his timing and his intervention, and not manufacture a solution to our circumstances ourselves, when he shows up, many people will be impacted. Many, will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
Teach me to wait on you Heavenly Father!
