Matthew 3:1 and Matthew 3:4-5

John the Baptist was an ordinary man. He was poorer than most. He lived in the desert. He ate wild food and dressed in the most uncomfortable clothes. Why? For the same reason all the disciples were ordinary. Jesus used hte common man. He didn't base his choosing on bank accounts, religion, color or sex. He proved this in the chooosing of his disciples, his miracles and his forgiveness.
