You sayin' I don't love my mama?
“If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine.” Seriously, this doesn’t go over well with my mom. She started to cry when I told her that God should be more important to her than I am. My mom’s love for me is insane, and I’m sure others can give me an ‘amen.’ She can’t comprehend loving anyone more than she loves me. I’ve got news for ya…God loves her more than she loves me (I don’t know how that’s possible, but it’s true).
Our everything should belong to God, we wouldn’t exist without him! My mom and my dad cannot save my soul from eternal punishment, so I’m pretty sure Jesus gets a little extra something. Our salvation, eternal PARADISE, rests in his hands. Every single good thing in this universe comes from God, including our parents. At second glance, it’s no wonder I should love him more…life would be worthless without him. Parents betray their kids all the time, maybe it’s happened to you or someone you know. That’s not how God roles. He designed the cracks on your thumbs and he is designing your mansion in Heaven as you read this. I dare you to love him today like you understand that.
