"on assignment by Jesus"

what if we all lived our lives like that.

like everything we did every day. was an assignment an assignment from Jesus.

like work wasn't just work... but 5[or so] days a week we have to speak into our co-workers lives, the ones who are constantly complaining about their boyfriends or husbands and how they have no money or whatever it may be and show them true joy and love.

what if all those things we really just dont wanna do.. we looked at differently.. as an assignment. i'm sure paul didn't want to be in prison but yet he still managed to look at it like as an opportunity to reach the corinthians, and everyone else he wrote.

what if everyone of us started living our lives like that? like things weren't just tasks or everyday mundane events. but assignments. from Jesus himself. if we looked at everything we do as an opportunity to share Christ's love and compassion.

at Kingdom Youth Church (podcast available on iTunes) we're currently doing a series called "text" and we spent last week talking about God's word and whether or not we're receiving God's text messages for our lives. this reminds me of this...

are you receiving God's text?

are you taking God's assignments?
