The Ark
Acacia wood was a peculiar wood for God to choose. If a carpenter were to choose something to build an item out of, it would never be acacia wood. It is found in the wilderness and is knotted and crooked and must be beaten into shape in order to be of any use. However, the symbolism here in what God chose shows that we as people are also crooked and knotted but can be molded and shaped into something extraordinary and beautiful in His sight.
