Our authority, direction, correction, and regulation should come Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ alone. Jesus was angry with the Religious leaders because they could talk a mean talk, but the couldn't walk it, they couldn't live it out. They used the Word of God to hold people down underneath them rather than to lift them up to the understanding God have given them. As a Christ Follower, it is your responsibility to take what is being taught to you by your pastors, leaders, small groups, friends, and to study it for yourself with God and his Word. He alone, has the final say on your life. We all have busy lives full of decisions, questions, and uncertainty. Take a minute right now, to ask for direction from God. Forget about what everybody else is telling you. If what they said was God-inspired, then He will make it clear to you. Follow only Christ. He alone, can give you the guidance you need.
