I think that sometimes we forget that forgiveness is for Christians too. In my life the most difficult person for me to forgive is myself. Then I read these words that John writes to Christians like me and I think, thank you God for your awesomeness. Instead of keeping sin hidden away in a secret place like so many (even churches) encourage all we have to do is be open with Him, and we are cleaned.
