Leviathans- what were (are) they
I have a question :
Here Satan disguises himself as a serpent;
"Now the serpent* was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?"
Genesis 3:1 (NASB)
But in Isaiah the Leviathan is described as a “fleeing serpent” and a “twisted serpent”
1In that day the LORD will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent*,
With His fierce and great and mighty sword,
Even Leviathan the twisted serpent*;
And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.
Isaiah 27:1 (NASB)
I looked them (the word serpent) up in Strong Greek/Hebrew Concordance and they are the same Hebrew word (Nachash).
*Nachash (naw-khawsh'); Noun Masculine, Strong #: 51751.

c.fleeing serpent (mythological)
God (in Job 41) describes him (the Leviathan) as:
18"His sneezes flash forth light,
And his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
19"Out of his mouth go burning torches; Sparks of fire leap forth.
20"Out of his nostrils smoke goes forth
As from a boiling pot and burning rushes.
21"His breath kindles coals, And a flame goes forth from his mouth.
22"In his neck lodges strength, And dismay leaps before him.
23"The folds of his flesh are joined together,
Firm on him and immovable.
Could it be the serpent in Genesis 3:1 is a Leviathan? Is it (the serpent) not commonly
displayed as s snake ? Or did I get mixed up somewhere ?
