Be Blessed
Right here, Jesus says several times; "You're blessed, when you're at your worst." Daily, we pray for God to bless us, bless our day, be with us. Am I right? But right here, it says "You're blessed, when you're at your WORST." Not whenever you feel like it or want it, only when you NEED it. Matthew 5:4 says "You're blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you..." Think about that for a second, You're only blessed when you've lost everything. How often do we selfishly pray for blessing, when God pours out blessing in times of NEED, not want. I think what God is saying in these few verses, or maybe just to me personally...is that God blesses you, when He's your only hope that's left. "You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope." We take God and His blessing for granted over and over again. Especially in a country like America, where we're one of the countires with the best economy...yet we take GOD. The God of the universe, the God of all living things...granted. Here, God is saying..."I'll bless you, when you realize you need me to live, I'll bless you when everything you've come to know falls apart and you turn to me for help."
