Not A Word
Jesus has been arrested and taken before Pilate. The religious leaders shout accusation after accusation at Jesus. Pilate give Jesus a chance to stand up for himself. Give him a chance to counter what is being said about him with the truth. And, right when Jesus was given the opportunity to speak up, "Not A Word from his mouth". Jesus knew that it would not be by his own efforts that he would overcome this situation, but through the awesome power of his Father in Heaven. Jesus knew that the crowd could say whatever they like, but God had the last word. When you face insults, condemnation, and accusation because of your faith, know that God has the last word. Jesus wasn't about to get into a debate with the Religious leaders, he knew that his situation was already taken care of. We don't have to fight and argue and debate, God already has everything taken care of. Think about a recent argument or grudge you've had with someone. Ask God to help you let go of the situation, and reassure you that He has the last word.
