Philippians is described as Paul's "happiest letter". He wrote it while he was locked up in prison too. That's pretty amazing that he mustered up that much joy while he was imprisoned. Paul was so excited about what Jesus was doing in the Philippian church, that his situation couldn't even phase him. I don't know about you, but reading and feeling this amount of joy, passion, and excitement from a guy who is locked up gets a hold of me. It makes me want to share in those feelings. Paul tells us to "live a lover's life". To make Jesus "attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God". How badly do you want to see your friends and family come into a relationship with Jesus Christ? If we want to see that happen, we've got to love like crazy. We've got to "live in such a way that you are a credit to the Message of Christ". Is the way you're living building God's kingdom? Paul used his situation of imprisonment to build the Kingdom! Are you using every avenue you've got to urge people closer and closer to Jesus? Living a "Kingdom Life" is not without sacrifice though. Take time today, and get into God's word. Let it rebuild and strengthen your trust in Christ. Ask God to help you remember that your sacrifice is not for no reason. Paul says "the suffering is as much a gift as the trusting" Lets keep building together.
