Jeremiah 29:11-13 ASV

My favorite passage in the Bible is the entire chapter of Psalm 139. It became my "life verse (chapter)" after after entering into a depression that was caused by medicine I was required to take. It speaks volumes regarding God knowing us from before the creation of anything. As Jeremiah 29:11 God has plans for us. And they just aren't any plans like doing laundry (ordinary, methodical, tedious) but plans for hope, a future, good, etc. He had these plans worked out for us and knew each step we would take before time existed. How quickly we forget. We become blinded by our flesh and the need to take control. We look at a situation or someplace that the Lord seems to be leading us and think, "How in the world is this going to be accomplished? Lord, do you realize there are like FIVE different things that have to all line up for this thing to happen? Impossible. Let me get out my hammer and shovel and start "fixing" things and we'll see how close we come." Not remembering that everything thus far in our lives has fallen into place without our help (and when we do try to "fix" it just becomes a catastrophe). How can we not realize that God, infinite in wisdom and power, omniscient, everywhere, not only created EVERYTHING placing it in the exact place it needed to be so that here on Earth we wouldn't burn up or freeze to death, holds all of creation in His hand. How simple we think. We also fault when everything seems to be on pause. As if the time between the first stirring within us and the fruition of it nothing is happening. My pastor said something a few weeks back that knocked me on my head. Our church is in the process of opening a new campus, and he was talking about how God has been preparing and leading in what is going on. What he said was, "God is preparing our hearts for the next steps." I was dumbfounded. It's something I know but did I KNOW it. The words meant something completely different to me than what the pastor was speaking about. This time. This waiting. It's hard. We grow anxious. But He is preparing. He's getting all the ducks in a row. He sees the end result and is sitting there in Heaven going you have no idea what you're going to experience. You have no idea what I am going to do through you for my glory. This end is going to blow you away!
