Healing means being made whole, living life fully and completely. The Israelites had to take some risky steps to experience this positive change. It started with the risk of crossing the Red Sea and it ended with the risk of crossing the Jordan River at flood stage.
Moses was urging his people to “choose life.” For the Israelites, “choosing life” was about letting go of the past life of slavery.
