God is not afraid of being compared
This passage is great because it shows that really when you compare the God of Israel, the God who brought us salvation through Christ, to any other God on this earth, or any other Idol there is no comparison.
What is really interesting is that God invites us to compare him with what the world has to offer. He has supreme confidence that when we honestly look at what the world has to offer and what he has to offer that we will choose him. Unfortunately because of pride and addiction we often times do not get to a place where we can be honest with ourselves, even if we know the truth deep down inside.
