John 6:1-14 ASV

God is among us. He has come. Who He is and what He does is definitely God activity. John doesn't want us to miss how much Jesus is God or how much he is able to care for those who will turn to Him.
In so many ways Jesus changes what it means to know God and develop spiritually. Being religious seems like a completely different experience than we see in the people hanging out with Jesus. Religion is trying, and remembering. The Jewish religion centered around festivals that remembered something God had done. And it is definitely important to remember. it gives us perspective and reminds us about who God is. But when Jesus dwells with us (which he did and still does) we don't have to just remember what God did. We are seeing what God is doing. We need to remember, but religion gets tired and focused wrongly on us and them when we are the ones who remember and they aren't. Walking with God changes incredibly when are seeking our God and walking with Jesus and are experiencing life and transformation and reconciliation and provision and signs and miracles. Jesus is able to do what is needed. Jesus provides what is good and necessary. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and he will take care of all the stuff of life. What a life! What a God! I'm glad I can remember …and be in on the real deal.
