Defeating the enemy
I don't know about you, but often times I find myself asking the question, How do I defeat the Devil? How do I defeat this "roaring lion" that is literally out to devour me? The bible says that daily the Devil sets up a case to God and accuses us of every sin that we commit. How can we have victory in that setting? Well the first weapon we have is the most powerful by far, the blood of the lamb. In Christ, no matter what the accusation of the devil we are protected by that powerful blood that was shed on our behalf. However, there is another weapon that is very useful here on this earth. You see sometimes the devil will accuse us to ourselves and make us feel defeated and that we are not children of God. Now we can definitely plead the blood, but it says in this passage that in addition we can use our testimony to shut him up as well. In other words, when the devil accuses us we can present our own case of how, through Christ, we have had victory in our lives and we are no longer in bondage to the things that we used to be in bondage to. This is a under utilized, but very powerful weapon.
