This Psalm is my favorite passage in the Bible. I was reading it this morning and verses 7-12 blew me away.
I am confident of my salvation and know that it can never be taken from me. I know that God will never leave me or forsake me. However, when I read these words this morning something happened. The Psalmist reiterates over and over again within these few verses that we can never escape from the presence of the Lord. He says that even if he were to go to Sheol which is Hell even the Lord is there. The first half of this chapter begins and ends with how intimately God knows us and in the midst of these verses we are assured that where ever we go despite everything the Lord knows about us He is there with us.
