The Day Pentecost Arrived (2:1-21)
In Acts 2 we see an exciting event. The Holy Spirit of God shows up in a powerful way. God's Spirit speaks through the tongues of men, in different languages, so that everyone can understand. It was a supernatural event. Yet, there were still some who questioned, and doubted. They thought they were drunk.
God raised up Peter to correct their thinking. God always has someone who is willing to "cry out loud" in the wilderness. Peter, with all of his faults and failures, was that kind of person. God used him to set the record straight.
I don't know about you but I want to always be that kind of man. The kind that is willing to stand for truth. It was because of this strong resolve to stand on God's truth that helped to forward the Gospel.
Aren't you glad of the promise found in Acts 2:21. Everyone who calls on His name will truly be saved! Praise be to God!
