I love this, Jesus crossed the water and a "great crowd" followed him. I can assume there were no bridges and boats are not just for the taking. So for that many people to cross the water must have been a challenge. I don't know how many crossed but the numbers eventually went to 5000. Today people will not go 20 minutes to church much less row across the river to get to it. We can find more excuses to avoid church than we can to go to church. I can defend my laziness better than I can defend my Lord!
