Deuteronomy 15:7-8 ASV, Matthew 7:1-2 ASV and Luke 6:37-38 ASV

I've grown up hearing Luke 6:38 preached under the context of money and financial prosperity. Pastor Robert shared the other week about how God's Word starts out this passage and the one in Matthew under the context of judgment and forgiveness.

How often to I "give to get" versus "give to give?" A lot of the root here for me is selfishness or a lust after material things. It's an issue of the heart ultimately...time to seek God on that.
