Wake Up Call
When I get caught up in the ordinary routine of life and the busy activity of day to day it is easy to forget that the world as I know it will one day be radically altered. "The sun will fade out, the moon will cloud over, Stars will fall out of the sky." This world in which we live is not our home. We are temporarily on this Earth until they day that God brings forth a new heaven and a new earth. Lord help me to see my life as temporary. Help me value those things that will last forever and not the temporary here and now stuff that so often preoccupies my thinking as if that is the real priority.
