Every time I have read this, It made sense that we need to do our part as christians, christ followers, the church.... to go to the people who are:

Hungry
Thirsty
Take in Strangers
Naked
Sick
In Prison

And we should minister to them. What if that is not all of what Jesus meant? What if these are different spiritual states that all people can be in? It doesn't matter if someone is financially well off, or has a home and a family, but they can be these things spiritually. What that means is the world is open to the harvest. Anyone that doesn't know Christ is in prison, is sick, is naked, needs a place to stay, is thirsty, is hungry.... at any given moment depending on where they are in their journey.

We as the church should always be looking to identify where people are in regards to these indicators, and to approach them. If we don't, verse 46 says it all

Hungry - wanting something more
Thirsty - needing refreshment
Take in Strangers - spiritually alone
Naked - feeling vulnerable
Sick - warped and unhealthy
In Prison - lack of true freedom
