Luke 4:28-30 ASV

Jesus is in the synagogue teaching, and he says some things that they didn't really understand, but also really didn't like. They get so mad that the throng of people herds Jesus out of town and are looking to throw him over a cliff. So what does Jesus do? He just walks right through the crowd and heads off to the next place. Hold on a minute. An entire crowd of people can push him out of the city to the edge of town, but all of a sudden Jesus just stops getting pushed around and walks through them? I keep trying to picture this scene and it just doesn't make sense - how could Jesus do that? Did he put a 'force field' around himself? Make himself invisible? Reason with them and say, "Hey guys, ummm, now's not a good time so excuse me" as he walked back through the crowd? It seems like this story is a bit of miracle itself and I would have loved to have witnessed it.
