What About The Fish?
I like this story about Jesus teaching the people from a boat and then telling Simon to simply throw the net on the other side and they catch more fish than they'd ever caught before. In fact, their nets were breaking and the boats were overfilled and starting to go down. That's a lot of fish. But here's a question I wonder about. When Jesus invites them to fish for men with Him, they get to shore, and Simon, James and John, leave everything to follow Jesus....what happened to all the fish? It's one thing to leave a boat or nets, but they left a bunch of fish in the boat in the middle of the day - if somebody didn't do something with them quick, they'd start to stink. I know the point is that we need to be wiling to leave everything to follow Jesus, but I still wonder what happened with all those fish?
