Being daring takes some serious guts, daring means going against the flow, pushing the envelope, going outside your comfort zone, or any other number of clichés. Being daring for Christ often entitles being alone, which for a lot of people is very hard to do. Daring often means being a trail blazer and going against the expectations of the world. Jesus was daring, and in this passage we read how he was going against the flow of the religious people of the day. Sometimes daring means not accepting someone's faith but investigating it and making it your own. The story from today’s devotion talked about how this girl found her faith to be exciting to her because she had started to take it seriously. And with that seriousness came some daring options like going on a mission’s trip, helping and volunteering with the youth, and taking a stand saying that the life she was living wasn't good enough for her anymore. That is being daring

I sing hymns quietly because I don't want people to look at me. I don't speak up in bible study cause I'm not smart enough. That all ends now; from now on...I will have the courage to participate and engage, not afraid of those around me, but prepared to concentrate on only me and God, so that first and foremost I am thinking of my Audience of One.
