Dr. Harold Foos came to this conclusion, concerning the covenant of Daniel 9:27, in his doctoral dissertation written for Dallas seminary "... it the conviction of this writer that the repossession of the Temple site and the rebuilding of the Temple with its renewed worship will be in direct consequence of the covenant that the Antichrist makes with Israel for the "one week," the seven years of the Tribulation period."
