Death
Matthew 7:14 ASV, Matthew 7:21 ASV, Matthew 7:23 ASV, Luke 23:43 ASV and Romans 8:38 ASV
I don't understand it. I understand what death is... and I understand the option of heaven or hell and eternity... but how long does it take for a person to be admitted to Heaven? Three days? Immediately... One of God's days, or one of our days? Does a person simply have to confess Jesus as Lord of their life even the day they die, or does a person have to be intimate with the Lord to pass through the narrow road? How does God go about heaven and hell? Does He make His judgment face to face with the person, or does the person automatically go to the eternal dwelling place? If God makes His judgment face to face, does the non believer fall awestruck to His glory? And if the nonbeliever does, does the non believer also confess that He is God, or does the nonbeliever only confess when the great reckoning happens? I have just witnessed a very close family death who went a whole life without intimacy with the Lord... and then had a "thief on the cross next to Jesus" moment on one of her last days, and I have a lot of questions and confusion now.
