Acts 20:20-24 ASV

Scripture Insight - These verses show the heart and compassion of Paul. He was led by the Spirit and compelled by the spirit to stay on task and stay on mission - even in the midst of certain opposition and hard times. But the hard times and imprisonment were not a big deal to him. What mattered most was to finish what God had started. Wow! If all Christians had the same attitude and compelling sense of mission that Paul had the world would once again be "turned upside down."
Personal Impact - I know that I need to understand who has called me to do ministry - God and His Holy Spirit. I know that I need to keep focused what matters most.
Prayer - God, help me to never lose sight of what you have called me to do.

22 “But there is another urgency before me now. I feel compelled to go to Jerusalem. I’m completely in the dark about what will happen when I get there. 23 I do know that it won’t be any picnic, for the Holy Spirit has let me know repeatedly and clearly that there are hard times and imprisonment ahead. 24 But that matters little. What matters most to me is to finish what God started: the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God.
