Scripture - 6 My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. 7 You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.

Observation - I love the way "The Message" puts it - "School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it!" Paul knew that there comes a point where people have to start putting into practice what they have learned.

Application - I am afraid that too many times we "stay in school" too long when it ocmes to our Christian faith. We sit in church or sit in class and take in and take in and take in. But when do we ever "let it out?" What is ironic is that the more you let it out the more you will want to learn. Why? Because when you begin serving others and sharing with them you realize how important and rewarding it is. When you realize that you want to do it more and more. All of a sudden you find yourself listening more so that you will be able to share more. It's an interesting cycle. Is it just a theory in your life? Why not put the theory to the test?

Pray - Lord, help me to live out my faith daily.
