Jesus is very straightforward here. He wants to warn the believer that after finding (responding to the gospel) and passing the narrow gate (decision for Christ) there is a hard and a narrow way (path of trials, righteousness and sanctification) that leads to him (Jesus) that gives Life (regeneration, agape love bestowment). Any other way leads to Hell. The believer must reach the end of the way to be saved and to reconcile with God. What a wonderful message. It's all up to the believer now.
