Why churches fall
It's unfortunate that so many churches in our day operate as the Corinthian church did over 2000 years ago. Possibly the biggest problem then and now is division. This often comes with talented staff. It's the golden calf issue. When you can't see God people desire to make creation their god. Humanity has a deep desire to exalt the gifted and make them a god. In a lost world this seems to be acceptable behavior. In the church it is robbing God of the glory he is due, which in return removes the unity of a church.
Food for thought....
Should Christians desire autographs from other talented Christians that have risen to the top of their field, i.e. pastors, speakers, musicians?
