Struggling with Sin
I find in my own heart when I am struggling with sin it's an issue of focus. I have made myself and this current situation my primary focus. Like a horse with blinders, I get tunnel-vision and become consumed with the immediate issue(s) before me. My own little world becomes the center of my attention.
But I believe the key to persevering through the struggle is to put our situations in perspective with what Christ did for us. He took the pain, bore the cross and died so that you and I could have a better future, with him in heaven.
When I look away from my own struggles and focus on what he did for us, I find encouragement to continue striving for the holiness God desires.
