What you want, Lord, is for me to take my focus off the world and it’s dictates, and rather look to you for fulfillment in this life. To relinquish my rights and expectations and take on the cloak of humility and surrender to you.
Help me, Oh God, to find my treasures in your love and grace. Let my worth be determined by my understanding and desire to do the things that you have ordained for me. Show me how to derive my pleasure doing those things that honor you.
I know that when I put my trust in you God, you will allow my mind to be renewed. You will make it easier for me to hear and understand your commands to me. I am empowered knowing that you have a purpose for me. You have also shown me your faithfulness over and over again. Remembering your faithfulness allows me to know that your will for my life is perfect and that you want me to succeed in fulfilling it, even more than I do.
Help me grow in the understanding and love of your Truth, oh Lord. This, that I may become mature and able to test and approve my understanding of your will.
I love that your will is good and pleasing. Give me the strength and courage to accomplish your good and pleasing will in my life.
