Lasting Fruit
I was not the one who signed up for this adventure...Jesus chose me. Not only did He choose me, he appointed / assigned / expects me to fulfill a job for Him. This doesn't sound optional, the way He puts it. He expects me to bear everlasting fruit.
How often in life I am side-tracked with the most foolish of pursuits...acquiring stuff, looking good, keeping busy with good activities. I so need to be reminded of my real purpose: to bear lasting fruit that will bring glory to God's name.
