Blessing of the Lord
Psalm 32 is very clear about how we should confess our sin. If we don't, our body is wasted away through groaning, all day long. Confessing sin can be humbling and humiliating, but that doesn't make us exempt from confessing. The enemy is great at creating reasons to not tell brothers or sisters our area of sin. When the enemy succeeds in deceiving us, we get robbed of the blessings the Lord is ready to pour on us. We must step out and confess to a brother/sister in Christ and to God. (Verse 5) After confessing, the author writes that God is his hiding place and God surrounds him with songs of deliverance. There is blessing and freedom to those who expose sin. There are people who willingly sin and do not give the time of day to acknowledge God, or even think about confessing. (Verse 10) God's promise. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the LORD, loving kindness shall surround him. And finally, who is excited about God?! WE have a hope and a future. I was an angry Child growing up. I never knew why. But when I came to Jesus I enjoyed the freedom he gave. And the Joy that I was friends with the creator was the best high I have ever had. But, I wasn't free of guilt and shame. I had to go deep in my past, and seek forgiveness. Once I realized God had already forgave, I struggled to forgive myself. One day I got word from the Lord that I was trying to win the approval from man. My past was very shameful, and I couldn't forgive myself because it is very unacceptable among Christians (which is another post altogether, but WE as Jesus Followers need to seek Love above all else) and I was condemning myself. Once I realized I only live to please the Lord, my life was changed. I forgave myself because Christ forgave me. This was when I felt the overwhelming blessing of Joy. Verse 11: Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.
Don't miss God's blessing. Leave bondage and enjoy the Joy that God gives.
P.S. Joy may make you weird...... ask my friends. ;)
P.P.S. We need these description boxes a lot bigger... I'm too lazy to proof read because I can only view three lines...
