Genesis 1:9 ASV, Genesis 1:11 ASV and Genesis 1:15 ASV

I like how the NLT uses this phrase to talk about the completion of God's Word. I emphasize "Word" intentionally as there is a deep meaning behind Jesus' connection as the Word (John 1:1-3,14). But leaving that conversation for a later time, I want to focus on the title phrase. It's so complete. God said... And that is what happened. There is no one else in history for whom that can unconditionally be said. ONLY our God has the ability to speak things into existence. He is much mightier than we often give him credit. He told it to be...and that is what happened. What is he speaking in your life? What is he speaking in mine? Can we look back and say "and that is what happened"? I want this year to be a year where, whenever God speaks in my life, I can say "and that is what happened."
