Repent intro
Interesting that John started out his preaching with "repent for the kingdom of heaven is near" . Identical to Jesus beginning ministry in Matt. 4:17. The "kingdom of heaven" when John is speaking is talking about Christ himelf as the King that brings the kingdom of the end times to us. Jesus reminds us again that he is bringing with Him, the end times and that we should always be ready with penitent hearts.
