Finding fulfillment
For some reason this verse hit me really strongly when I read it this time. Perhaps it is because I have been thinking a lot of how I am "discontent" most of the time. It's something i have always wrestled with.
I know I am not alone in this because otherwise why would so many be constantly buying new things and doing new things. We by nature grow discontent with our stuff, our job, our life so easily.
It struck me today when I read this that Jesus really does say "you will be satisfied." You will get your fill. It's something he will say in several different ways...something so elementary to faith...something so basic that I miss so easily so many times.
It's a good reminder to me that when I am discontent I need to question whether I am hungering for the right thing.
