Insufficient Righteousness Exchanged
God declared that He was well pleased with Christ. The scriptures have never made such a high statement as this concerning any man but Christ. In Christ, through faith in Christ we become the children that God is well pleased with. Outside of Christ we aren't pleasing to Him. God is deadly when we seek to please him with Christ exempt. Christ is the Only one whose living and thinking was and is perfect before God. His righteousness becomes ours through believing truly in his power to rule and his power to save from sin's damning penalty. If we refuse, we will stand before God with a death sentencing righteousness that is insufficient but through relying on Christ, God will look at us and say, this is my beloved [child] in whom I am well pleased!
