Parables
I love that Jesus always taught in parables. To me it sort of says that if you want to learn the lessons God has in store for us, then you must be willing to put in some sort of effort. Sure, Jesus could easily just say do not be a hypocrite, but he chooses to talk about the plank and the speck of sawdust. If you take the time to read and understand this, the lesson is just that much greater.
