If one approaches Psalm 15 honestly, the realization is that those who can dwell in the presence of God (sojourning in His tent, dwelling on His holy hill), are the ones who live righteous and holy lives. And sadly, it becomes apparent in the examples given that we all fail. I may succeed in one area, but will inevitably fail in another, and as a result are not any different from the fools and evildoers of Psalm 14.

The answer then isn't found in myself, but is found in David's trust in God in Psalm 16. In Him, I must find refuge, for I have no good apart from Him. In a beautiful we have the gospel in these three Psalms (Psalm 14-16), and see clearly our desperate need, answered by our only hope - trust and faith in the mercies of God. Even more important is the Messianic promise in Psalm 16:9-10 that draws our hearts to Jesus, so that we can declare just as Paul did that through Jesus forgiveness of sins is proclaimed, and by Jesus everyone who believes is freed from everything (Acts 13:28-39)

Who indeed can dwell on God's holy hill? Only Jesus, and those who entrust their lives into His.
